SIMPLE VEGAN GRANOLA

This simple grain free granola is sweetened naturally with pure maple syrup . It has the perfect amount of crunch and clusters not to mention it contains no added oil. Your family will beg for you to make this recipe over and over again so they can enjoy it with there smoothies and yogurt bowls. Let me also warn you that this granola will give your house an amazing aroma. Try your best not to devour it all while it’s hot you will burn your lips :) Yes, I am speaking from personal experience.

INGREDIENTS:

3 cups rolled oats or quick oats

1 cup nuts of choice

1/4 cup dark or light brown sugar

1/4 tsp saigon cinnamon

3/4 tsp sea salt

1/3 cup pure maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup coconut oil

Additional Add Ons:

1/2 cup dried berries or raisins

1/2 cup coconut flakes

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.Heat oven to 350 F get a baking sheet and line with parchment paper

2. To a mixing bowl add oats, nuts, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt

3. Pour maple syrup, coconut oil and vanilla in and mix

4. Add granola mixture on the baking sheet with the parchment paper.

5. Bake for 12 minutes and then stir the granola and press down and set timer for another 12 minutes and bake for another 12-15 minutes until lightly golden brown. Each oven is different so keep an eye out that it doesn’t burn.

6. Let is sit out for at least an hour, add in your dried fruit and or chocolate chips or coconut flakes.

7. Store in airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks or freeze in a freeze safe container.

8.Enjoy on it’s own as a snack or with your favorite smoothie or yogurt.
